Looking for a safe and practical logistics solution for handling and delivering fish? We have further developed a patented floating pier solution into a comprehensive system for fish storage. Our concrete solution ensures safety for workers, boats, and the comfort of the fish.

Ensuring fish well-being is a top priority in the aquaculture industry. The fish must be healthy and stress-free. By using our concrete waiting cage system, the cages remain stable and heavily weighted in the water, with the railing firmly in place. This provides a safe, practical working environment for the staff, allowing them to focus on the fish’s welfare rather than on facility maintenance.

In situations where it is not practical or feasible to place equipment on land, a floating dock or wave breaker with a basement may be necessary. This structure can handle significant loads and allows for the placement of all equipment above or below deck. Large boats can also moor alongside it.

System Description

The concrete waiting cages are essentially unsinkable floating docks that are improved in terms of size and connectivity. The floating dock, featuring a monolithic M-profile in reinforced concrete, offers extra rigidity throughout its structure. It is heavy and stable.

You can use various lengths and widths to customize the system to your needs.

  • Length: 16 - 25 meter
  • Width: 4,0 - 6,0 meter
  • Total height: 1,6 meter
  • Width of grating/channel: 1 meter

Fish Handling System

The waiting cages can be equipped with a fish handling system, which includes:

- Winches for net lifting (with lighting)
- Suction hoses for fish pumping
- LiftUp system

The cages are designed for net suspension with the option for net weights. Dimmable LED lighting is provided to consider fish welfare. Other equipment and accessories are available upon request.

What do we need to get started?

We value a face-to-face meeting and are happy to meet you at your location. Specifically, we need:

- Exact location and a site report to determine water currents and significant wave height (Hs) in the placement area
- Mooring analysis to manage the forces acting on the facility and for certification
- The size of the facility and the desired orientation and distances to the fish reception

*Hs refers to the significant wave height at the site.
